Personal Projects
As a designer, I've been fortunate to create projects for my friends and family! As I also own my own business, I love to help my friends and family with my creativity with some custom designs and projects.
Jess & Taylor's
Bookmark the Date
I designed and helped make my friend Jess and her fiancé Taylor’s save (or rather bookmark) the dates. The bride asked for my help executing her vision for these unique bookmark save the dates as she is an avid reader. While I was the “lead designer” in this project, the three of us worked together on the design and we landed on what you see here! We then printed, cut, and glued them all together.
Bridal Shower Invites
I’ve designed multiple bridal shower invites for close friends.My friend Caroline's bridal shower did not have a set theme so I instead used sage green, one of her wedding colors, and used that as a building block when determining a color palette and other visual elements.. For Jess, we had a set theme of “love in bloom” so the design came a little easier. I incorporated emerald green, one of her wedding colors, and some brighter floral elements for balance.
Custom Coloring Pages
These are a great lowkey activity for your bachelorette, bridal shower, family holiday, or birthday party. Not to mention they're fun for all ages!
Book Cover Redesigns
Something else that I like to create for fun is conceptualizing new book cover designs. Each one is like a puzzle; how can I make it different and unique from the original cover but still stay true to the identity of the book? Here is a re-design of my most recent read, Shelby Van Pelt's "Remarkably Bright Creatures”. It has an amazing mix of charm, humor, and really touching story that just had me completely hooked.
